South Miami Starbucks across from Sunset Place. Consistently good service and drinks here. Nice patio as well to enjoy the day or night. Garage parking next door.

I hate to give this starbucks a this review since I usually come here and its typically pleasant but today it was not. So here is a list of all the first times I experienced at this location: 1.) Accused of lying??? 2.) Employee went out of their way to tell me my name isn't worth remembering (Hey, you could just call out the drink name no need to be rude when I was being friendly haha) 3.) Curdled milk in an iced coffee? No thanks. Most of the employees are friendly but this one kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I work customer service, I get that you can have bad days but there is no reason to treat someone who works across the street from you like that.

I miss the old Starbucks on Sunset. Years back, it had a coffee shop atmosphere. You could enjoy coffee, hear relaxing music, talk, or get some work done. For the longest time now, it seems that every time I go in, night or on. Saturday morning (one weekend day if I can) there is reggae music blasting. A couple of years ago I asked why and was dismissed with "that's our thing." So, clear that is and will continue to be their "thing." Problem is that I miss it. I still go to other Starbucks before and during work and the atmospheres are all pleasant. In this neighborhood, I've been going to Panera or the new place (whose coffee I don't much like, but it feels and sounds like a coffee shop), but I don't want to. I miss my Starbucks and hope it goes back to being something other than a reggae bar. I'll save that for Thursday nights at Bougies.

This place is always closing. Employees are closing from 9 pm on. We have been here several times after dinner and feel very unwelcome. They are mopping and bathrooms are closed off. They only had a croissant and a banana bread for sale. All the other food items are for tomorrow they said. Inside seating was put up on tables to discourage indoor seating and they tell every customer that they are about to close. No hours listed on the door. Very unfriendly atmosphere

I never thought that I would find a Starbucks that I would never return, but i have. This place is very poorly run and the frappuccino tasted like icy watered-down milk. I was there a year ago and it was good.

Great service but the place is filthy. Men's rooms urinal has been out of service for weeks but that doesn't stop people from peeing on it. They don't seem to change the coffee selection very often. Same 3-4 beans every day. And not a good place to sit and work. Small tables with poor lighting. Not my fave but the service is friendly.

I've reviewed so many Starbuck's now. This one is no different. It's great. I have been to some Starbuck's where the service and the coffee sucks, but I pay $5 for a coffee, you gotta make it right. If they don't, there should be a certificate that they give you. I've had one before. But this location is on point. :)

For me the best starbuck in Miami. Toni and his team are great, nice, happy, everything I need on the morning. Great customer service. What else .... I love it !

About a week ago week ago, I started stopping at this Starbucks while commuting for their Roasted Tomato and Mozzarella paninis. Today when I walked in I was greeted with annoyed stares from the only barista behind the counter at the time, and ignored until a line of 3 equally annoyed customers formed. I ordered the panini and a hazelnut latte, realizing soon after that I only had a $100 bill on me. When I asked the barista to break it he sighed heavily and mumbled that he didn't have change that early (at 6:30-something in the morning that was understandable) and I told him I'd skate across to the Panera to get change (I'll review the Panera experience, too). I handed him the panini and left. When I got back, I was greeted with the same annoyed stares that quickly changed when he saw the cash in my hand. The façade of kindness dropped very quickly when I asked him to heat up the panini to which he grunted "Okay!". When he picked it up I noticed that he'd swapped my panini for the stepped-on-looking one I'd neglected earlier in my panini picking, and when I asked him to undo the switcheroo and heat up the good one, he Kobe'd the bad panini into the trash can and snatched the nicer one out of my hand. By that time, another barista had arrived so I re-ordered the hazelnut latte and she rung up my total to $16! When I asked her how much the two items had cost she told me it was ~$3 for the panini and ~$4 for the latte, and when I asked her how 3 and 4 add up to 16 she said "It just does. It's $16". She made me my latte, and I asked her for the address to store (so I could do my check-in). When Grumpy the barista slid my poor panini across the counter before fixing the miscalculation he saw Yelp! open on my phone and the façade was up all over again. I got my change, my latte and my panini and I got the heck out of there.

The employees in here are very animated, entertaining and it could come off as unprofessional. Personally, I was fine and please try the passion fruit tea. The passion beverage is my favorite now. The location is great if you're going to the shops and you need a refresher. Stop here because all Starbucks are the same for the most part. Sorry, I didn't post a pic.

It's Starbucks...what else do you need to know.

The service is the slowest of any Starbucks I've ever been to. On weekends, only two employees and long lines with no one taking orders from the line. Minimum 15 minute wait. Unacceptable.

I come here a few times a month. The indoor is tight but the outdoor has a beautiful patio space. Drinks are always great but the employees are nothing to rave about. If you find yourself in a random convo with them during work hours please make sure there aren't other customers in line. They're easily distracted. Im cool but 10+ minutes for a tall latte is a bit much.

I walk right by this one in the mornings and go to one farther away in the car. Lines are always out the door, and the morning crew is extremely slow- I mean, like, eight-to-ten-minutes-to-make-one-drink slow.

I have found a Starbucks Vanessa S. hasn't reviewed. She's slipping....understandable, being 1,000+ miles away. Now there is no one standing in my way; I shall conquer every Starbucks south of Flagler St. There are "destination" Starbucks's, the kind that feature plenty of parking, plenty of cushy seating and a well-lit space, perfect for college students pretending to study while they post Facebook status updates, or would-be screenwriters attempting to create that masterwork that will give them their big break. Wait, we're not in L.A. Besides, they all go to the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf anyway. Then there are those Starbucks locations that prey upon you due to their proximity. They plant a seed in your unconscious, you see, you can't help it. This is one of those. You stumble bleary-eyed out of the Sunset Place AMC after a movie......what do you do? You walk across the street for a latte and a scone, that's what. Or, let's say you ate at Town, Ra, 72nd, (insert favorite South Miami restaurant). You either hit the happy hour a little too hard, or you feel like the Blob that Ate Manhattan - so either way, you have to walk it off. Hmm, there's that Starbucks again. Gee, what would A) jolt you out of your drunkenness or B) act as a digestif? How about a doppio espresso? There's not a lot of seating inside, and what is there isn't very comfortable, so I suggest sitting in the quaint courtyard. Here, there's decent people-watching to be had - not on the same level as that enjoyed by patrons of the 100 Starbucks locations on Lincoln Road, obviously, but good for this area. You used to be able to sit up on the second floor, but now there are no tables and chairs up there - why did they eliminate the upstairs seating? That's where I always wanted to sit. Still, I like this location enough to dole out a solid 3.5 stars.

The DEA should investigate this Starbucks..there must be a reason why it's so addictive! Maybe there's a less sinister explanation, such as being literally a block from my office...or that they carry my favorite vice, the mallorca bread. Perhaps it could be the friendly staff that recognize me as Mr. "Nonfat Grande Capuccino with said bread."...There's also the eye candy of the ladies gettting out from yoga next door when I go for my afternoon fix. Patrick is right about the amount of sitting, but since I take my coffee (and pastry) I'm going to go ahead and 5-star the place.

Normally I don't trek this far south however I found myself here last Sunday Morning. The Staff was pleasant the store was clean. My one complaint is that it is a small Starbuck. So I'm going to guess that the moment the temperatures hit 70 and everyone decides to go get a hot chocolate the line might be out the door. Considering more than 5 people in line and your standing outside this can be annoying.

I don't normally rate ubiquitous chains like Starbucks, but I thought I should mention this one has an especially nice, large, shady outdoor patio, plus a covered, upstairs deck on a corner location. And wi-fi covering both. Not bad. Otherwise your basic Starbucks, though the interior was tiny, the line was long, and they were understaffed on the morning I was there.

I am very unhappy with this Starbucks and the manager, "Tony". I have up until today, frequented this store almost every day. I live only a block away. Today and three times during the past 2 weeks, the employees (and today the manager, "Tony") had no idea what was on the menu and gave me the wrong item. They have a new breakfast sandwich that is very nice: cheese and egg on whole wheat toast. They absolutely have no idea of this at this particular store! Twice prior to today, I was given something else entirely and did not know until I had driven away (late for work) and opened the bag...... I know getting the wrong order is not the end of the world. It is the attitude of this establishment that customer relations and customer training has no importance. Starbucks is very expensive. I go to a Starbucks at various locations approximately 3 times daily! This is not McDonald's and I expect the employees to know what is on their own menu and to be polite at all times. In today's economy, there is no room for poor service at such an expensive store. Shame on this store.

Small location & not enough indoor seating but the staff is always over-the-top friendly & serviceable. The location is surrounded by lots of great window shopping so if a relaxing stroll with a cup of your fave sbux java is what you seek, this is a great choice!

I go to this Starbucks mostly on weekdays but sometimes on the weekends and I got to say it has the friendliest staff ever. On the weekdays Tony, the manager is there and he knows you if you come often enough! I love this! Their baked goods are always fresh. I recently had their ham & cheese panini for lunch and it was good! If you call ahead, at any Starbucks, they will prepare a travel box of coffee for you and have it ready when you arrive. When Starbucks began promoting their instant coffee and Tony saw the skeptical and incredulous look upon my face, he quickly brewed some with a little milk and had me try it! He proved my refined coffee tastes wrong when I tried this new brew. It's actually quite good! Only a dedicated manager would do that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They say there are no hipsters in South Miami, but they haven't been to this Starbucks. Except most of the hipsters are actually punks, and some of the others work behind the counter and act surly. But that's cool, because they're pretty good at making a doppio espresso with a doppio of water, real hot. If only they had valet parking so I didn't have to parallel park my Porsche SUV.
